This was written on October 24, 2014, but I’ve been in the middle of a move, so had a delay in posting. It was a response to a challenge to write an acrostic: a composition where the first letter in each word, line, paragraph, or section spells a word or message, and the whole piece is relevant to the concept/definition of the word. It was a first for me, and a lovely and compelling endeavor.
In this case, I was asked to write the acrostic as a poem, a line for each letter, on a word that was chosen for me.
Without further ado, here is.
Enjoy!
Psithurism
Please, the music of change. Find me in your winds and rock me like safety.
Sing to me the lullaby that ushered the seed of me to my ovum home.
Instill the insistence of my relentless movement with the unquestionable script.
Timing: that I may know from listening to my own sciences, the delicacy of when
holding on in viscid grasp serves the pollen to the flower, and leads me to ecstasy.
Ubiety, don’t hold back. Unanchor me from the lie and feed me to love, herself.
Rachide of me, be conducted to form a number, exquisitely suited in viridian,
irrisistable to the language of invisible ribbons the air speaks; whispering skies,
soft to my yearning surfaces, quelled only by an answer, begging in the silence.
Median where Heaven and Terra find me swooning, let me be held in his wholeness.
